Wynona Ann Harkins

Wilson – Funeral Services for Wynona Ann “Catfish” (Woods) Harkins, 58, of Wilson, is scheduled for 10:00 am Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Dale Thompson officiating. Interment will follow at Sandy Bear Cemetery near Pernell, OK. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.


Wynona was born February 4, 1953 at Lawton, OK to the late Mr. Everett L. Woods and Mrs. Wynona “Onie” (Blundell) Woods. She departed this life Wed. March 2, 2011 at Waurika.


Wynona was raised in the Pruitt City area attending school at Fox and Healdton. She married Mr. Robert “Bobby” Dale Harkins September 2, 1969 at Healdton at the Shell St. Church of Christ. Bobby and her resided at Healdton for over 30 years, moving to Wilson in 2006. Wynona was always a devoted homemaker who loved being outdoors camping, fishing and being with her family. She enjoyed her stays at the Waurika Lake where she always volunteered for the Park Office. Wynona was baptized of the Church of Christ of Faith.


Bobby preceded her in death on February 19th of 2007. Also preceding her in death is her Parents.


Survivors include her Daughter Leedale Rich and husband Jody of Wilson; Son, Crusty Harkins and wife Jodi of Comanche. Companion and friend, Keythel Horn of Wilson; 5 Grandchildren, Charles Harkins, Ashley Harkins and Alex Rich, Randi Ott and Garret Taylor. 4 Great Grandchildren, Rionna Minor, Raylee Minor, Raysean Minor, and Kross Harkins. 3 sisters, Linda Castleberry and husband Roy of Velma, Avis Whidden of Kingston, and Mary Jo Baird and husband Richard of Duncan. 2 Brothers, Freddy Woods and wife Diane of Elk City, and Alvin Woods and wife Roberta of Duncan. Numerous other family and friends.


Pallbearers are Crusty Harkins, Travis Shaw, Johnny Scott, David Wright, Rick Brown, and Luke Prichard.


Honorary Bearers are Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and the Park Rangers of the Waurika Lake.


Family visitation will be Monday evening from 6-8 pm at the funeral home in Wilson.
