Windford Brewer Finley

Wilson – Funeral Service for Retired Chief Master Sergeant Windford Brewer Finley, 81 of Lone Grove is scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Military Chaplain officiating. Interment will follow at Simon Cemetery in Love County with full United States Air Force Military Honors. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

W.B. was born November 16, 1930 at Pampa, TX to the late Mr. Robert Brewer Finley and Mrs. Lois (Sanders) Finley. He departed this life Friday, February 3, 2012 at Oklahoma City.

W.B. was raised in this area graduating from Dundee High School in 1947. He received his Bachelors Degree in General Studies from the University of Omaha and later furthered his education by receiving his Masters Degree in Mathematics.

He married Nancy June Newell June 4, 1949 at Wichita Falls, TX . She preceded him in death on April 21, 1995. He later married Joanne Jacobs September 16, 1995 at Ardmore.

W.B was retired from the United Sates Air Force after serving his country honorably and faithfully for 28 years. He retired as a Chief Master Sergeant serving in Korea, Turkey, Sherman, Alaska and lastly at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX.

After retirement he moved back home in Lone Grove to be closer to his family. He enjoyed feeding his birds, hunting, work puzzles, exercising and inventing, bust most of all spending time with his grandchildren.

Family includes his wife Joanne of the home; Children, Judy Elaine and husband David Patterson; Jean Finley and husband Joseph Woodward and adopted daughter Mary Marie Masidonski; Stepdaughter, Sarah and husband Brian Hallett; Grandchildren, Gayle Denise and husband Ron Bishop, Rachel Jayne and husband Troy Gee, Ryan Josia and wife Brandi Bunda and Travis Finley Woodward; Great Grandchildren, Christian Troy and Nancy Olivia Gee, Kaitlyn Grace and twins, Trevor Dean and Tyler Finley Woodward and Cooper Bishop; Sisters, Wendolyn Norman, Delta Bray, and Lawan Shepard;; Sisters In Law, Barbara Newell; Cousins, Cathe Pietro and Vivian Smith, Nieces, Annie Labeth, Kathy Lamb, Janice McGraw, Helena Pietro and Lisa Lawan Shepard. Nephews, George Newell, Jeffery Shepard, Ron Norman, Wendel Norman, Bobby Gene Norman, Delton Bray, Ricky Bray, and Doyce Norman.

Pallbearers are Ryan Bunda, Travis Woodward, Ron N. Bishop, Troy Gee, Christian Gee, George Newell, Jeffery Shepard, Brian Hallett and Ron Norman.

Honorary Bearers are Ricky Bray, Joe Woodward, David Woodward, Gary Labeth, Cooper Bishop, Wendel Norman, Paul Shepard, Delton Bray, Doyce Newman, David Patterson, and Bobby Gene Norman.
