Wilma Sue Rozzell

Funeral Services for Mrs. Wilma Sue (Tadlock) Rozzell, 79, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Friday, July 26, 2013 at the Rexroat Baptist Church with Billy Rozzell officiating. Interment will follow at the Hewitt Cemetery of Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Wilma was born December 14, 1933 south of Wilson to the late Mr. Millard Thomas Tadlock and Mrs. Geneva I.(Williams) Tadlock . She departed this life Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at her home in Wilson.

Wilma was raised at Rexroat attending school there. She graduated from High School in 1951 as the Class Valedictorian and was a star basketball player. She married Mr. Bill Marshall and soon became a caring mother and devoted homemaker. She and her children returned to the Wilson area in 1972 and Wilma began a lifelong career working in the grocery retail business. She was employed at Foodway, Bestyet and Buy For Less in Ardmore .She was the tall black-haired women with the beautiful smile working in the office cubicle. She retired from Sooner Foods in Sulphur in 2009. During her years at Bestyet she met Francis Rozzell whom she dated for 12 years before marrying. They were united in marriage on August 24, 1988 at Ardmore. Wilma was an avid sports fan and as recently as this past winter, attended her grandson's ballgames.. She always loved to cook for everyone and is a longtime Charter member of the Rexroat Baptist Church.

Preceding her in death are her parents, Millard and Geneva (Williams) Tadlock; husband, Francis who passed away on October 28, 2010 and brother, L.D. Tadlock, son, Mark Rozzell and daughter- in- law Carlette Marshall.

Survivors include her children, Teri Marshall of Wilson, Billy Wayne Rozzell and wife Kathy of Lone Grove, Travis Marshall and Dehue of Miller Beach, Indiana, Denise Prince and friend Danny Hartman of Wilson, Karen Robertson and husband Gary of Wilson, David Rozzell of Ardmore and Justin Marshall and Fiancé’ Sherry Angel of Wilson; Sisters, Syble Averyt of Alexandria, LA, and Vera Skyrm of Palm Coast, FL; Grandchildren, Keith Beard, Jennifer Corrs, Kristi Tibbs, Valerie Betterton, Blaine Rozzell, Justin Marshall, Gus Smith, Tricia Marshall and Johnny Robertson; 8 Great Grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Barry Averyt, Bennie Cartwright, Terry Clifton, Danny Hartman, Gary Robertson and Brock Tibbs.

Honorary Bearers Jimmy Rozzell, Barry Shrader and Cross Timbers Hospice Nurses and Staff.

The family extends a special thanks to CrossTimbers Hospice staff Edith, Crystal and Ms. Georgia.
