William Lawrence Dunigan

Reck – Funeral Services for Mr. William Lawrence Dunigan, 90, formerly of Reck are scheduled for 3:00 PM Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Rev. L.D. Choate officiating. Interment will follow at Reck Cemetery south of Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mr. W.L. Dunigan was born September 18, 1922 at Reck to the late Mr. Ernest Edgar Dunigan and Mrs. Mary Ethel (Baucom) Dunigan. He departed this life Thursday, October 11, 2012 at Kingfisher, OK.

Lawrence was a native to the Reck area residing there most all of his life. He married the former Norma Blondell Way February 23, 1942 at the Wilson City Hall. He joined the United States Army shortly afterwards on November 24, 1942 at Oklahoma City. He served honorably until his discharge on March 16, 1943 at San Diego, CA. He farmed and ranched all of his life with the exception of working in the Oilfield a few years. He loved horses and enjoyed dancing and attended the Reck Assembly of God Church. Blondell preceded him in death on August 10, 1992.

Also preceding him in death is his Parents, Daughters, Norma Sue - 1949, Judy -2009 and Patsy -2000; Siblings, Clarence, Fred, Darlene, Bernice , Mandy, Stella Mae and Great Grandchild Austin.

Survivors include Son, Odell Dunigan of Hennessey; Daughters, Mary Johnson and husband Glynn of Stratford, and Trish Eaton and husband Tommy of Cashion; Favorite Daughter In law, Luella Dunigan of Dover; Sister, Betty Shamblee of Madill; Brother, Clifford McGaughy and wife Anna and Ernest McGaughy and wife Selma all of Wilson; 29 Grandchildren, 52 Great Grandchildren and 1 Great Great Grandchild and 3 more on the way; numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Kenneth Odell Dunigan, Dennis Dunigan, Kevin Johnson, Jeff Johnson, Will Johnson, Waylan Johnson and Jamie Eaton.

Honorary Bearer is Tim Fondren.

Family visitation will be from 11 to 1 pm Saturday prior to the service at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson.
