William Keith Adams

Wilson – Funeral Services for Mr. William Keith Adams, 51, of Wilson are scheduled for 3:00 PM Friday August 3, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with Rev. Bruce Almy and Rev. Joshua Gunter officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Keith was born February 5, 1961 at Ringling, OK to Mr. E.C. Adams and Mrs. Leta Fern (Ferguson) Adams. He departed this life Monday, July 30, 2012 at his home in Wilson.

Keith was raised primarily in Wilson attending school there. He played every sport in school and loved them all. He graduated from Wilson High School in 1979. Keith worked initially at Uniroyal and then later for Brent Smiths Services as a truck driver and a tree trimmer.

Keith was always an avid sports fan and fisherman. He loved his family very much, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Wilson.

Preceding him in death is his Father, E.C. Adams and the father who raised him, Charles Wheeler.

Survivors include his daughters, Lauren Way and husband John of Wilson, and Sunnie Dorsey and husband Nathaniel of Ringling; Son, Weston Adams of Wilson; Mother Leta Wheeler of Wilson; Mother of his children, Becky Adams of Wilson; Siblings, Butch Adams and wife Donna of Wilson, Cathy Pelton and husband Dennis of Wilson, Lana Adams of Healdton, Debbie Smith and husband Brent of Ringling, Shellie Gentry and husband Darren of Wilson, and Melissa Overby and husband Trevor of Wilson; Grandchildren, Dillan, Kasen, Isabella, Landen, Maverick and Camden. Numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and other family.

Pallbearers are Dalton Whatley, Jacob Ayres, Mark Beals, Justyn Idleman, Russell Beck, and Jeremy Bell.

Honorary Bearers are Benny Epley, John Way, Mark Shores, Tony Apala, and nephews, Daniel Robinson, Jason Johns, Clay Smith, Derek Gentry, Ethan Adams, Toby Overby and Kody Overby.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 pm Thursday evening at the funeral home in Wilson.
