William Elbert Glover

Wilson - Interment Services for Mr. William Elbert Glover, 68, of Wilson was held 10:00 am Wednesday March 24, 2010 at the Hewitt Cemetery Pavilion with Rev. Jim Duck officiating. Services were under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

William was born July 12, 1941 at Faulk, AR to Mr. Thomas Milam Glover and Mrs. Robbie Marie (Spencer) Glover. He departed this life Monday, March 22, 2010 at his home in Wilson.

William was raised in Arkansas and KMA, Texas attending school at Valley View. He initially was employed for Halliburton as a Rig Operator. He later owned and operated Chisholm Trail Reliable Roofing Company. He worked the majority of his career at Lisa Motor Company of Ft. Worth, TX as an over the road truck driver for 28 years. He married the former Bertha Lois Thompson May 31, 1987 at Bridgeport, TX. They made their home in Wilson in 2008. He enjoyed watching old westerns, fishing, loved being outside and always cherished the times with his children. He was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceding him in death is his Father.

Survivors include his wife Bertha Lois of the home, Mother, Robbie Witt of Texarkana, TX, 5 daughters, Laura Smith and husband Randy of Wilson, Jessie Hooper and husband Chas of Springtown, TX , Patricia Evans and husband Lamar also of Springtown, Charlie Quinteros of Weatherford, TX and Sandy Watkins of Texas. 4 Sons, Greg Glover of Weatherford, TX, William Glover, Jr. of Wichita Falls, TX, David Glover of Plainview, TX, and Leonard Gaspard of West Lake, LA. 2 Sisters, Carolyn Faulkner and Sandy Faulkner both of Texarkana, TX. 1 Brother, Thomas Glover and wife Leisha of Newark, TX. 20 Grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a favorite Canine Companion Pete.
