William Edward Brown

Velma - Graveside services for Mr. William "Bill" Edward Brown, 83, of Yukon are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at Claud Cemetery with Erick Williams officiating.  Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Velma Chapel in Velma.  

Bill was born June 16, 1940 in Comanche, OK to the late Mr. William Edward Brown, Sr. and Mrs. Juanita (Hartley) Brown.  He departed from this life on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at his home in Yukon.  Bill graduated high school from Velma-Alma and earned his associate degree from Cameron University.  He worked the majority of his life for Halliburton in many different communities retiring as the district manager.  Bill enjoyed sports and traveled many miles to support his children and his grandchildren.  He later moved from Velma to Yukon to make it easier to watch his grandchildren.  

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, James Brown and Alvey Brown; son, Tommy Edward Brown; and mother and father in law, Tom and Camilla Bryant.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Betty of the home; sons, Curtis and Kathy Brown of Yukon, and Jim and Jamie Brown of Yukon; daughter, Brenda and Mike Marra of Carlisle, PA; 10 grandchildren, Jake, Brown, Julie Cornu, Seth Brown, Sarah Littlefield, Nate and Ben Brown, Max and Molly Marra, and Jessica and TJ Brown; 5 great grandchildren and by a host of other family and friends.
