William "Bill" Edgar Christian

William "Bill" Edgar Christian, of Graham, departed this life on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at Elmbrook Nursing Center in Ardmore at the age of 85 years, 6 months, and 8 days. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 PM Monday, June 22, 2020 at Living Word Tabernacle in Pruitt City with Rev. Eugene Christian officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.

Bill was born to the late Mr. Francis Samuel "Sam" Christian and Mrs. Mary (Butler) Christian on December 8, 1934 in Wilson, OK.

Mr. Christian grew up in the Graham area. He attended school at Graham and played on the football team. He and Mindora Kirkland were united in Marriage on August 15, 1959 in Ardmore. Bill had worked several different jobs throughout the years such as oilfield, farming, working and driving trucks for Hamp Baker and Turner Bro. in Elk City. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, and in the summer he was likely found hauling hay. Bill was always smiling and had a huge heart for his family and friends. He was a member of the Graham Assembly of God Church.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mindora (Kirkland) Christian; daughters, Nora Arles, Rhonda Norris, Diana Ashley; son, Billy Wayne Christian; grandchildren, Lloyd McDowell and Annie Arles brothers and sisters, George Christian, Melvina Harrell, Evelyn Pierce, James Marvin Christian, Leroy Christian, Marie Norton, William Christian, Donald Christian, Shirley Thornberry.

Mr. Christian leaves to cherish his memory, children, Johnny Dhabalt and wife Linda of Burneyville, Paula McDowell and husband Frankie of Loco, James M. Christian of Graham; sister, Betty Carter of Graham; 15 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 12 great great grandchildren; special caretaker and nurse, Melinda Lucas.

Serving as casket bearers will be Clifton Christian, Ray Christian, Danny Morrow, Bo Christian, Jimmy Norton, and Henry Norton.

Honorary caskets bearers are grandsons and great grandchildren.

Family visitation will be held from 4 PM to 6 PM on Sunday, June 21, 2020 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Healdton.
