William Andrew Daniels

January 15, 1932 — January 6, 2016

Healdton - Mr. William Andrew "Bill" Daniels was born on January, 15, 1932 at Zaneis to the late Mr. Tollie Clarence and Mrs. Gertie May (Moore) Daniels. He departed this life on Wed. January 6, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City at the age of 83 years, 11 months and 21 days.

Bill lived and worked in the Oilfield from the age of 16 until poor health forced him to retire in his mid 70's. Starting out as a roughneck and retiring as a consultant, there wasn't a part of an Oil Rig that Bill didn't know. He worked for many oil companies from Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Wyoming and even traveling to Indonesia to drill.

Bill was happiest when he was around his cows and horses. As a younger man he rodeoed starting with bareback and saddle bronc riding. After those days were over he moved to calf roping and heading and healing. He was instrumental in bringing the Healdton Rodeo back to life in the early 1970's. Rodeo's was his passion. He was so upset that he missed watching most of the National Finals this year due to being in the hospital.

Preceding him in death were his Parents and two sisters, LaGallia Leisure and Phyllis Daniels.

Survivors include his daughter Billye Neher of Lone Grove; sons, Michael Daniels of Healdton and Mark Daniels of Zaneis; Niece, Becky Schmidt of Orlando, FL; stepsons, David and Jana Oakman and Joe and Sheila Oakman; special love, Betty Flynn of Healdton; 5 grandchildren, Deanna Light, Christopher Howard and wife Jammey, Ali Rose and husband Jacob; Amy Renfro and husband Scott, Scott Neher and wife Allyson, Travis Oakman and Trent Oakman; 10 great grandchildren, Damian Pierce, Rigen Howard, Hanna Hall, Bella Renfro, Jacobi, Kash and Klay Rose, Dylan Tyler, Colin and Boston Neher. several cousins and a host of friends.

There are no services planned, per Bill's instructions. There will be a scattering of his ashes on the family farm at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care of Alexander Gray Crematory.
