Mr. Wendell Lee Billingsley, 57, of Wilson was born on March 19, 1961 in Ardmore to the late R.C. “Bud” Billingsley and Elizabeth Ira (Fulton) Billingsley. He departed this life on August 2, 2018 at his residence outside of Wilson. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Monday at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Bro. Mike Johnston. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
Wendell was raised in the Wilson area and spent his entire life in this area. He attended Wilson public schools and then joined the Oklahoma Army National Guard. He and Lisa Ann James were married on September 23, 2007. Mr. Billingsley was an avid car fan and a member of Enjunes Car Club. He was a great mechanic and had a talent for restoring classic cars. Mr. Billingsley enjoyed fishing, swap meets, and riding motorcycles. Wendell was always fun to be around and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially Jake, his canine companion of 16 years. He was always pulling pranks and was known as an unapologetic flatulater.
Wendell is preceded in death by parents and his best friend Rick Walden “Barefoot”.
He is survived by his wife Lisa Billingsley of the home; brother, Rex Billingsley and his wife Melba of Wilson; sister, Claudia “Fern” Hacker and her husband Bill of Guymon; three step children, Jessica Pittman and husband Jason of Ardmore, Kyle and April Sullivan of Healdton, Ericka and Chris Graham of Healdton; grandchildren, Amberly Graham, Gavin Pittman, Grayson Barret, and Crew Sullivan. Many other relatives and a host of friends.
Serving as Pallbearers are Terral Tucker, John Jones, Chris Dalley, Johnny Burkhalter, Roe Gardner, and Jeff Gunter.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Rick Lackey, Dustin Porter, Larry Stucky, Jerry Gunter, Enjuns Car Club, and Chris Graham.
Visitation will be from 6 – 8 P.M. Sunday at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson
