Loco- Graveside Services for Mr. Wendell Emmitt Wilson, 60, of Ringling are scheduled for 10:00 AM Thursday, June 25, 2015 at the Loco Cemetery with Rev. Roger Sims officiating. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
Wendell was born on Nov. 28, 1954 at Ringling to the late Mr. Willie “Bill” Wilson and Mrs. Eva Dell (Carroll) Wilson. He departed this life Monday, June 22, 2015 at the hospital in Ardmore.
Wendell was raised at Loco graduating from Ringling High School in 1973. He was employed in the oilfield most of his working years, currently doing roustabout work for Homer Rinehart out of Lindsay. Wendell married the former Ms. Tina Pyles on Dec. 26, 1993 at Lubbock, TX. They have made their home in Ringling for the last 6 years moving here from Loco. Wendell enjoyed his daughters, grandkids, hunting and watching westerns. He was a past member of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Ringling.
Preceding him in death were his Parents and a brother Hugh Wilson.
Survivors include his wife Tina of the home; Daughters, Tara Wilson-Brown and husband Steve of Duncan, Christy Sleeker and husband Chris of Enid and Kelli Wilson of the home; Sister, Vanita Thompson and husband Kenneth of Loco; Parents in law, Charles and Glenda Pyles of Lubbock, TX; 6 grandchildren,. 2 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Brian Pyles, Jay Larson, Donovan Rauh, Justin Sleeker, Brandon Thompson and Casey Thompson.
Honorary Bearers are Scott Pyles and Tim Pyles.
Family visitation will be held from 5 to 7pm Wednesday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.
