Wendall Nelson Watkins

Ringling - Memorial Services for Mr. Wendall Nelson Watkins, 54, of Ringling are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the First Baptist Church of Ringling with Rev. Mike Williams officiating. A private inurnment of his ashes will be at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Wendall was born on March 16, 1962 at Oklahoma City to the late Mr. Willis Nelson Watkins and Mrs. Patsy Ann (Owens) Watkins. He departed this life on Monday, July 18, 2016 at his home in Ringling.

Wendall was raised in the Zaneis community attending school there until graduating eighth grade. Then he attended high school at Ringling, graduating as part of the Class of 1981. Wendall worked mostly in the oilfield, but had also been employed at home health services and for the INS center in Waurika. As a young man he enjoyed working with cattle. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ringling.

Preceding him in death are his Parents and a 2 year old infant sister, Susie.

Survivors include his sister, Dea Ann "Sissy" Butler and husband Roger of Ringling; brother, Willis Lee Watkins and wife Patty of Rolla, MO; Aunts, Tillie Fike of Kingfisher and Alta Fay of Burneyville; Uncle, Donald Watkins of Texas; nieces and nephews, Barret Austin, Rayne Austin, Rumer Austin, Nick Watkins, Ashley Sisson, Angie Watkins and Jenny Matthews; numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Bearers are Alvie Fike, Pat Fike, Mike Fike and Jerry Owens.
