W.C. Bohannan

Ratliff City - Funeral Services for Mr. William Clyde "W.C." Bohannan, 80, of Ratliff City are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wed. March 23, 2016 at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Sims officiating and son Dub Bohannan providing the eulogy. Interment will follow at the Alma Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Mr. Bohannan was born June 5, 1935 at Healdton to the late Mr. William Columbus "Lum" Bohannan and Mrs. Nancy Savannah (Haywood) Bohannan. He departed this life Monday, March 21, 2016 at Healdton.

Mr. Bohannan was raised in the small town of Santa Fe attending school at Alma and later graduating high school at Velma. He attended college initially at NEO in Miami, OK and then returned to this area where he began working as a truckdriver and carpenter. He married the late Billie Jeanne Perdue and to this union they were blessed with 4 children, Bruce, Toni, Dub and Terri Jeanne.

Later in life, Mr. Bohannan married the former Lillie Marie Beach, on July 1, 1969 at Gainesville, TX. This union blessed them with 3 other children, Terry Lee, Leon and Larry. Mr. Bohannan earned his bachelors degree from OSU and was the Vocational Carpentry teacher at Fox for many years. He also drove the school bus for many years and was always very active in all the school functions. Mr. Bohannan lastly attended the Countyline Baptist Church where he held his membership and was a Sunday School Teacher. He was always very involved in all supporting organizations for Fox and Velma schools.

Preceding him in death are his Parents; brother, Bud; sisters, Ruby, Doe, Gorgene, Elizabeth and Lillie and a grandson, Patrick Carter.

Survivors include his wife Marie of the home; children, Bruce Bohannan and life partner Chuck of Inverness, FL, Toni Epley and husband Vance of Ratliff City, William Clark "Dub" Bohannan and wife Debbie of Ratliff City, Terry Lee Gordon and husband Jerry of Healdton, Terri Jeanne Burch and husband Dennis of Wilson, Leon Bohannan and wife Cindy of Pauls Valley and Larry Bohannan and wife Jovita of Healdton; sister, Joyce Firestone and husband Sonny of Velma; 8 grandchildren, Jason, Jennifer, Amanda, Jeramy, Cory, Savanah, Jessica and Lynn Marie; 16 great grandchildren, and numerous other family and friends.

Casket Bearers are Cory Bohannan, Jason Epley, Jeramy Burch, Mike Sayler, Ryan Simmons and Johnnie Hunziker.

Honorary bearers are James Thompson, John Lee Eakins, Rickey Carrio and Porter McDaniel.

Family visitation will be held Tuesday evening at the Ratliff City First Baptist Church from 6 to 8 pm.
