Wanda Jean Nuckels

Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Wanda Jean (Robertson) Nuckels, 75, of Lone Grove are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, September 13, 2012 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Jim Duck officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson.

Wanda was born September 17, 1936 at Hugo, OK to the late Mr. William B. Robertson and Mrs. Effie W. (Ellison) Robertson. She departed this life Thursday, September 6, 2012 at Ardmore.

Wanda was raised as 1 of 7 children initially residing at Hugo and then moving to California as a young girl. She graduated High School at Dinuba, CA and then furthered her education at Reedly College where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. She and Mr. Cecil Lee Nuckels were united in marriage on May 5, 1956 at Sultana, CA. Cecil was enlisted in the US Air Force which took them to Texas and then later to Arizona before they moved back to California residing at Fresno. Wanda was as a teacher for a short while but the majority of her working years was spent as a devoted homemaker. They moved to Lone Grove in 2002 and have been residents of there since. She enjoyed singing sacred music and loved playing her guitar.

Preceding her in death are her Parents and four siblings.

Survivors include her Husband Cecil Lee Nuckels of the Home; Children, Justin L. Nuckels of Exeter, CA, Jeanie M. Rader and husband Larry of Clovis, CA, and James A. Nuckels of Lone Grove; Sister, Tressie Downing and husband Dan of Visalia, CA; Brother, Herman L. Robertson and wife Mary Belle of Reedley, CA; Two Grandchildren, Allysia, Bryan and Ashley. Numerous other family and friends.
