Wanda Jean Bural

Funeral Services for Mrs. Wanda Jean (Lawrence) Bural, 81, of Ringling is scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at the Zaneis Baptist Church with Rev. Ben Shirley officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Wanda was born May 8, 1930 at Harlingen, TX to the late Mr. Robert James Lawrence and Mrs. Birdie Lee (Albin) Lawrence. She departed this life Sunday November 6, 2011 at Norman, OK.

Wanda lived at Harlingen, TX until her junior high years when she and her family made the move to Oklahoma residing near Zaneis. She attended school at Zaneis and graduated High School from there in 1948. She married Mr. Erman Chriss Bural on February 19, 1949 at Gainesville, TX. She initially was employed for the Carter County Court House in Ardmore and later was the secretary of the First Baptist Church at Ft. Sumner, NM before she attended college. However her most important occupation was being a devoted Mother and Housewife. She loved to garden and always enjoyed spending valuable time with her grandchildren especially giving them driving lessons. Chriss preceded her in death on October 19th of last year. Wanda was a member of the Baptist Church and also was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and Beta Sigma Phi.

In addition to her husband, also preceding her in death are her Parents, and two siblings Coleen Thompson and James Lawrence.

Survivors are her children, Christy Osborne and husband Bill of Norman, Karen Bryant and husband Jerry also of Norman, Jerry Bural and wife Mary of Piedmont, OK, Alan Bural and wife Anita of Norman, and Randall Bural and wife Gayla of Lee’s Summit, MO. Brother, Robert Lawrence and wife Betty of Benbrook, TX, Grandchildren, Kenda Potts, Grant Bural, David Bural, Daniel Bural, Charley Bural, Leycan Jones and Nick Bural; 3 Great Grandchildren, Makenzie Potts, Macy Potts, and Isaac Bural. Numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Grant Bural, David Bural, Charley Bural, David Jones, Brian Potts, and Paul Thompson.

Honorary Bearers are Daniel Bural Nick Bural Val Cantwell, Jr., Allen Wade, Larry Thompson, and Gary Whitener.

A family gathering will be held Tuesday Evening from 6-8 pm at A;expander Funeral Home in Wilson.
