Wanda Gaye (Bailey) Lesley

Wanda Gaye (Bailey) Lesley, of Fox, departed this life on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at her residence at the age of 90 years, 3 months, and 23 days. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00A.M. Monday, March 21, 2022 at the First Baptist Church of Fox with Rev. Christopher Edmondson and Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in the Graham Cemetery in Graham, OK. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Wanda was born on November 22, 1931 in Graham, OK to the late Mr. Albert Bailey and Mrs. Vera (Chance) Bailey Braucher.

She had lived most of her life in the Graham/Fox area. She attended and graduated from Graham High School. After graduation we she went to work as a waitress in Healdton. That is where she met the love of her life Mr. Otis Dale Lesley. They were united in marriage on November 20, 1951. Together they made their home in the Fox area where they would raise their family. Wanda was a devout Christian and was very active in church for many years as the church secretary. She enjoyed reading her bible, playing solitaire, and was an excellent cook. Her chocolate pies were always a favorite. Wanda helped with local and county elections at the church, working the voting poles. Wanda loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Otis Dale Lesley ( 2013); daughter, Linda Lesley (1972); and a son, Robert Dale Lesley (2016).

She is survived by her daughters, Rhetta Norton and husband David of Durant; Vera Lucas and husband James of Fox; sister, Patsy (Bailey) Vest of Spring, TX; 11 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren, and 2.5 great great grandchildren; Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.

Serving as pallbearers will grandsons, Bradley Edmondson, James Edmondson, Kevin Edmondson, Matthew Leake, Aaron Patchell, and Haydn Owens.

Honorary pallbearers will be Oscar Turman, James Lucas and Boyd May.

Visitation will be held 6 -8:00 P.M. Sunday, March 20, 2022 at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Ratliff City.
