Walter Lynn Arnold

Wilson – Funeral services for Mr. Walter Lynn Arnold, 60, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, Oklahoma with Rev. David Gardner officiating and Ronnie Turner assisting. Interment will follow at Bomar Pt. Cemetery in Wilson, OK. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Mr. Walter Lynn Arnold was born January 29, 1953 at Comanche, Oklahoma to the late Mr. Samuel Floyd Arnold and Mrs. Jessie Adelaide (Smith) Arnold. He departed this life Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Ardmore.

Walter was raised at Healdton. He graduated Healdton High School in 1972 where he participated in basketball, football and track. He was also a "header and heeler" Team Roper. Walter married the former Ms. Christia Marie Turner February 14, 1976 at Wilson, Oklahoma at Chris's parents home. He began his employment with Uniroyal retiring from Michelin after 30 years of service. After his retirement he became employed by Sunshine Industries where he had been employed for the last 10 years.

He was preceded in death by his Parents; Grandson, Tristan Barker; and His In - Laws, John and Dessie Turner.

Survivors include His Wife of 37 years, Chris Arnold of the home; Daughters, Charlotte Barker and husband Billy of Oklahoma City, Jennifer Arnold of the home; Son, Brent Arnold and wife Chandra of Ardmore; Grandchildren, Scott, Brent Wes, Brody and Brentli; Sister, Shirley Geurin and husband Gene of Lone Grove ; Brother, Tommy Arnold and wife Jerry of Ringling; Special Aunt, Doris Chamberlain of Del Rio, Texas; Brothers- In -Law , Bruce Turner and wife Edna, Donnie Turner and wife Annette, Ronnie Turner and wife Sandy; Special friend, Betty Vansill. Numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers are Travis Arnold, Curtis Turner, Billy Barker, Brian Geurin, Michael Geurin, Cliff Arnold, Steven Burton, Terry Turner and Trevor Turner.

Honorary Bearers are Carl Stewart, Haskell Middlebrook, David Smith, Scott Barker, Brent Wes Barker, Brody Barker and Brentli Arnold.

Visitation will be Wednesday, February 20, 2013 from 5:00 ~ 7:00 P.M. at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
