Wallace Keith Blankenship

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mr. Wallace Keith Blankenship, 70, of Ardmore are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Ringling with Terry Grant officiating and Lee Grant assisting. Interment will follow at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.


Keith was born December 30, 1946 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to the late Mr. Bob Blankenship and Mrs. Dequita Ashcraft. He passed from this life on Friday, December 22, 2017 at Ardmore after a thirty year battle with Parkinson's disease.


Keith was raised in California, spent several years in Oklahoma City and lived in Ardmore for the last 50 years. He was a avid collector of antiques and enjoyed restoring antique lamps and cars. His hobbies included attending estate sales and garage sales and being a member of several antique car clubs.. Keith also loved to travel for his business which was the restoration and resale of antique auto electrical parts. Several of his works are featured at the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, DC.


Keith married Connie Beth McGowan on February 2, 1968 in Ringling and they were blessed with a son, Bryan. They would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in February.


Keith was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Bob Blankenship and Mrs. Dequita Ashcraft.


Survivors include his loving wife, Connie Blankenship of the home; son, Bryan Blankenship and husband John Jones of Washington D.C.; brother, Bobby Gerald Blankenship of Ardmore; sister, Suzette Paxton of Placerville, CA; mother-in-law, Colleen Grant of Ringling; brother-in-laws, Terry Grant of Ardmore and Lanie McGowan of Ringling; and a host of other family and friends.


Pallbearers will be Jerry Day, Andy Devoud, Lance Grant, Quinton Rouse, James Schmukal and Sparky Surrell.


Honorary bearers will be Odell Frier, Preston Grubbs and Greg Holland.
