Velma - Memorial Services for Virgle Lee Adams, 75 are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, August 30, 2024 at Alexander Gray Velma Chapel with Herbert McConnell officiating.
Virgle was born August 30, 1948 in Hale Center, TX to the late Mr. Raymond "Shine" Lee Adams and Mrs. Jessie Marie (Eason) Adams. He departed from this life on August 26, 2024 at his home.
Virgle was raised at Countyline attending school at Fox for 9 years and graduating from Velma High School in 1966. He was soon drafted in the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. On April 21, 1972 he married the love of his life, Janice Bradford in Wichita Falls, TX, just celebrating their 52 years of marriage. Virgle had worked in the oilfield some before owning and operating Virgle Vacuum Truck service for 40 years retiring in 2013. He enjoyed fishing, racing and rebuilding Volkswagen's and his latest project of restoring his 1966 Chevy.
Preceding him in death was his parents; and a brother, Davie Adams.
Virgle is survived by his wife, Janice of the home; daughters, Tammy Williams and husband Steve of Beaver, OK and Chasity Bowles and husband B.J. of Duncan; grandchildren, Kasey Tarrant, Brandon Williams and wife RaDona, Blake Williams, and Jordan Bowles; great grandchildren, Lexi Williams, Brady Earsom, Kali Williams, and Harper Williams; and by a host of other family and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8 P.M. at Alexander Gray Velma Chapel.
