Virginia Ruth Kerns

Weatherford- Funeral Services for Virginia "Jenny" Ruth (Camp) Kerns, 86, of Weatherford, will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2016 at the Fox Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Camp Family Cemetery at Fox. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City.

Jenny was born June 16, 1930 at Alma, OK to the late Mr. Alvin Ray Camp and Mrs. Ethel Cleo (Means) Camp. She passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 of a broken heart following the death of her husband, Mr. Clyde Kerns on April 21, 2016.

Jenny was raised in Fox as the 4th of 7 children. She married Mr. Clyde Kerns in December of 1947 at the Fox Baptist Church. Together the couple resided in several communities from Mississippi to Kansas, following Clydes work in the Oilfield. Jenny and Clyde made their home at Weatherford in 1968. Jenny worked as a lab technician for the V.A. Hospital at Clinton, OK for 25 years. She was known for her sewing and cooking and will be greatly missed for her loving and compassionate heart. Jenny was a past member of the Weatherford Baptist Church.

Also preceding her in death are her Parents; sisters, Avanell (Camp) Branch and Betty (Camp) Demorjian; daughter, Carol Chaney; grandson, Zackary Finch; numerous other family and friends.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Connie Day and husband Bruce of Lander, WY and Dana Kerns and husband Tim Julian of Yampa, Co; grandchildren, Angela Queenan and Alicia Arney; great granddaughters, Anneleya Finch and Anna Kate Queenan; Great grandson, Keith Queenan, Jr.; siblings, Vernon Camp and wife Melba of Amarillo, TX, Patricia Brent and husband Gene of Chouteau, Shirley Wilkins of Conroe, TX, and Dennis Camp of Fox.
