Virginia “Jenny” Mae (Scott) Abercrombie was born August 14, 1938 at her home in Dearborn, Michigan to the late Mr. William Scott and Mrs. Agnes Inglis (Patterson) Scott. She departed this life on Sunday, July 17, 2016 at her son’s home in Wilson.

Jenny was raised in Dearborn, Michigan as 1 of 8 children. Her father was of Ireland and her mother was of Scotland. Jenny’s father passed away when she was 16 and her mother lived until the age of 93. After graduating high school she married and was blessed with 5 children, Douglas, Vicki, twins - Brian and Brent and Robbie. They lived in Michigan most of their lives together.

Jenny married Mr. William "Bill" Ephriam Abercrombie, Jr. August 29, 1987 at Dearborn, MI. Together they made their home at Healdton in 2004. Jenny loved bowling, swimming, football, Yahtzee, and Black Jack. She was always a good listener and always willing to help her family. Jenny was a member of the Lutheran Church.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. William Scott 12-25-1955 and Mrs. Agnes Scott 12-30-1993; husband, Bill Abercrombie May 23, 2008; daughter, Vicki Pelfrey July 6, 2015; granddaughter, Stephanie McCallister Nov. 13, 2014; sisters, Margaret Hess, Betty Smith, and Nancy Cook; brother, John Scott.

Survivors include her children, "Chief" Douglas McCallister and wife Joyce of Wilson, Brian McCallister of Michigan, Brent McCallister of Ardmore, and Robbie McCallister and wife Heidi of Ardmore; siblings, Ethel Nollet of Dearborn, Michigan, William Scott of Arizona, Robert Scott and wife JoAnne of Arizona; 13 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
