Violet Lorraine Hunt
Healdton – Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Violet Lorraine (Collins) Hunt, 54, of Healdton will be at 10:00 am Monday July 12, 2010 at Bomar Point Cemetery with Bro. Stephen Bernard officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
Violet was born September 13, 1955 at Omaha, Nebraska to the late Mr. Dempsey Wallace Collins and Mrs. Minnie Ellen (Burrow) Collins. She departed this life Friday July 9, 2010 in Ardmore.
Violet was raised in Trenton, Missouri where she attended school. She married the love of her life Mr. Steve A. Hunt on September 18, 1972 at Marietta. She and Steve made their home in Healdton for many years. Violet was a homemaker a job that she cherished. She loved spending time with all of her family and friends and her many dogs that were just like her other children.
Preceding her in death are her parents, a son, Douglas Edward Hunt in 1979 and a grandson, Charles David Hunt in 1999.
Survivors include her loving husband of 38 years, Steve Hunt of Healdton, 2 sons, Steve Hunt Jr. and wife Shelley of Healdton and Rusty Hunt and wife Jenni of Healdton, 1 daughter, Stacy Hunt and husband Jim of Healdton, 5 brothers Raymond Collins and Merle Collins both of Wilson, Steve Collins and wife Lisa of Adel Iowa, Doug Collins of Ft. Worth and Charlie Collins and wife Willie of Healdton 1 sister Deloris Brown and husband Doug of Trenton, Missouri, 5 grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wesley Hunt, Allen Hunt, Raymond Collins, Merle Collins, Doug Collins, Charlie Collins and Steve Collins.
Honorary Bearers will be Terry Josey, Brandon Wright, Ricky Morrow, Jessie Brown, Scotty Baird, L Wood, Miguel Madrid, Michael Shorter, Michael Ellis, Houston Gazaway and all the employees of Brady’s.
Family visitation will be Sunday evening from 5-7 pm at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
