Loco -Funeral Services for Mrs. Velma “Squirt” or “Ma” Jean ( Hall) Wright, 74, homemaker of Loco, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 1, 2010 at the Loco First Baptist Church with Rev. Don Clark Officiating and Grandson Chase Wright providing the Eulogy. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery. Family visitation will be Friday, April 30, 2010 from 6-8pm at the Alexander Funeral Home in Ringling.
Ma was born July 11, 1935 at LaJunta, CO to the late Mr. Charles Edwin and Mrs. Laura E. (Long) Hall. She passed from this life after a year-long battle with Cancer on Wed. April 28, 2010 at a healthcare facility in Ardmore.
Ma was raised in LaJunta, CO and later married Mr. Daniel Wright March 9, 1960 at Liberal, KS. They made their home in Loco in 1978 where she ran the Loco Store. She also worked as a bookkeeper for various businesses and was always a devoted homemaker. She was the happiest outside working with the cattle and gardening as long as she had her cup of coffee. Ma and Pa celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary March 9th with all their family and friends. She was a member of the Loco First Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death is her Parents, Sisters, Lois Pike, Nora Barta, and Zola Chapman, Brothers, Glenn Hall and Cleo Hall.
Survivors include her husband Dan or “Pa” of the home in Loco, 3 Daughters, Carrie Wright of Portland, OR, Christy “Sam” Stewart and husband Doug of Marietta, and Lorrie Coffman of Colorado Springs, CO. 2 Sons, Cash Wright and wife Deana of Loco, and Mackey Wright and wife Candice of Coalgate. 1 Brother, Lloyd Hall and wife Edith of Delhi, CO. 4 Grandsons, Chase Wright and wife Chandra, Tyler Bridwell, Casey Wright, and Trace Stewart. 6 Great Grandchildren with one more on the way. Numerous other family and friends.
Pallbearers are Doug Stewart, Chase Wright, Jerry Tivis, David Ponder, Tommy Reynolds, Harlan Burris, and Johnny Bingham.
Honorary Bearers are Trace Stewart, Casey Wright, Tyler Bridwell, Blake Wright, Luke Wright, Haley Wright, Ciera Wright, Jade Wright, Dylan Wright, one other on the way.
