Services for Tyler “Reyse” Johnson, 8, of Wilson, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Wilson with Rev. Mark Fuller officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home.

Tyler “Reyse” Johnson was born to Danah Isaacs on March 17, 2015, in Ardmore. He joined a brother, Joshua “Landon” Utt. Reyse departed this life, surrounded by his family, and entered his heavenly home on Saturday, November 11, 2023, after an extended stay at OU Children’s Hospital in Oklahoma City, Ok.

Reyse was born with Smith Magenis Syndrome (SMS), which was the cause of multiple other health issues. He spent many days in the hospital during his short life. Reyse was raised in Wilson, a student  at Wilson Public Schools and Tri-County Cooperative. He attended Wilson First Baptist Church when he was able. Even though Reyse was non-verbal, he did know some American Sign Language and of course some of his own signs, occasional grunts, and those giggles and laughs that just melted our hearts. He had the biggest blue eyes and the sweetest smile. Reyse enjoyed playing with transformers, blocks, balls, magnetic tiles, and play dough. His favorite TV shows were the old Mickey Mouse, PJ Masks, Puppy Pals, and Masha and the Bear. His favorite movies were Boss Baby and Home (Oh). Reyse liked butterflies and rainbows and had an addiction to his phone. If his phone was out of commission, everyone paid the consequences. Believe it or not, he could navigate a phone. Reyse loved going on walks, going for rides in the car with his MawMaw, swimming, taking bubble baths, and playing with the dogs, Dexter and Moose. If you entered the house with a sack or package, Reyse thought it was for him and he was not happy until he got to open whatever it was so he could check it out. Often times, we had to be stern with Reyse, but him being mad was short lived. He was always eager for his momma’s hugs and kisses. His love was unconditional.

Preceding him in death are his great grandparents, Sammie Isaacs and Bill and Clara Mae Idleman; grandfather, Jackie Kerley.

Survivors include his mother, Danah Isaacs of the home and her fiancé, Hans Hoose; brother, Joshua “Landon” Utt and significant other, Chloe Fitzgerald of Wilson; great grandfather, Tom Isaacs of Prague; PawPaw and MawMaw, Gary and Tommi Sue Idleman of Wilson; aunts and uncles, Stacy McMahan and husband Lynn, Gary Joe Idleman and wife Te all of Wilson, Katherine Dodd and husband Shannon of Comanche, Jeremiah Kerley and wife Crystal and Paul Kerley all of Wilson, Carrie Farley and husband John of Sulphur, Amanda Johnson of Minco, Jason Dillard of Blanchard, and Jarad Dillard of Ardmore; great aunts and great uncles, Toni Isaacs, Monte Isaacs and wife Christi all of Wilson, Marlin Isaacs and wife JoAnn of Wiggins, MS, and Tisha Welch and husband Bobby, Billy Idleman and wife Cathy all of Wilson, Monica Idleman of Ardmore, Ruth Kerley of Wilson, Kathy Kerley and Frankie Kerley of Ardmore, Ricky Kerley and wife Becky of Springs, AR; many cousins , numerous other family and a host of friends that he loved so much.
