Truman Lee Laney

Wilson - Memorial Services for Truman Lee Laney, 75, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday Jan. 6, 2018 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Jeff Jones officiating.

Truman was born on Nov. 4, 1942 at O'Donnell, TX to the late Mr. Jack Laney and Mrs. Hannah Belle (Romines) Laney. He departed this life on Monday Jan. 1, 2018 at his home in Wilson.

Truman was raised mostly at Norman joining the military at an early age. He enlisted into the U.S. Army on July 17, 1958 at Oklahoma City. He and the former Ms. Pamela K. Crawford were united in marriage on Dec. 4, 1960 at Norman. They moved quite frequently as a military family.

Truman served honorably in the U.S. Army for 20 years. His military occupation was serving as a Military Policeman until his retirement. They were stationed all over the United States and twice in Germany during his military career. Upon his honorable discharge, Truman found employment as a truck driver for Halliburton out of Duncan. This moved him and his family to Wilson where they have remained.

Truman also worked for American Freight ways for several years until retiring. He enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, fishing and taking his family camping.

Preceding him in death are his Parents; brothers, Billy Ray Laney and Jack Jr. Laney.; sister, Della Ruth Laney; and daughter, Cynthia K. Laney.

Survivors include his loving wife Pam of the home; daughter, Lori Eubanks and husband Jay of Sanger, TX; grandchildren, Chris Patrick Laney of Liberty, MO, Christopher Michael Taylor of Washington, Cori Lee Clemens of Buckeye, AZ, Jessie Wayne Eubanks and wife April, Samuel Cody Eubanks and wife Ashton, and Hannah Rose Eubanks, all of Sanger, TX; great grandchildren, Harley, Alex, Jon, Jonathan, Cooper and Alexandria; niece, Sibbie Lee Lehman of Muncie, Indiana; numerous other family and friends.

Honorary Bearers are Dan Caldwell, Boyd Simpson, Marty Lyons, Chris Laney, Jessie Eubanks, Sam Eubanks, Jay Eubanks and Shannon Persinger.
