Troy Mitchell Scroggins

Ringling - Interment services for Mr. Troy Mitchell Scroggins, 83, of Ringling were held at Ringling Memorial Cemetery. He departed this life Sunday, October 16, 2016 at Ardmore. Services were under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ringling.

Troy was born on June 17, 1933 at Columbia, TN to the late Mr. Enos Mitchell Scroggins and Mrs. Georgie Leanna (Mosley) Scroggins. Troy was raised in Tennessee. He married the former Ms. Devene Marie Messer on Dec. 12, 1958 at Ole Mexico. They moved to Oklahoma in the early 70's finding employment in the Oil Patch. Troy worked for Southerlands Oilfield Service for many years. He enjoyed arrowhead hunting and cutting firewood.

Preceding him in death were his Parents; daughter, Patsy Gail Asbury; sister, Maudie May Scroggins, brother, Albert Clint Scroggins, sister, Doris Ann Martin, brother, Enos Lesley Scroggins and sister, Mary Ruth Pruitt.

Survivors include his wife Devene Marie (Messer) Scroggins of the home; Daughter, Regina Lynn (Scroggins) Smith and husband Larry of Ringling; brother, Jerry Scroggins of Columbia, TN; sister, Betty Lou Pruitt of Columbia, TN; 3 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; numerous other family and friends.
