Brent was born on December 15, 1959, to Bill and Betty (Lester) Smith of Ringling, Oklahoma. Brent graduated from Ringling High School with the class of 1978. He was a lifelong resident of the Ringling area and a member of the First Baptist church there.

He is preceded in death by his father, Bill Smith; brother, Rodney Smith; brother-in-law Keith Adams; and sister-in-law Lana Adams.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie of the home; son, Daniel Robinson of Ringling, OK; son, Clay Smith and wife Jessica of Ardmore, OK; daughter Andrea Liddell and husband Bobby of Ardmore, OK; mother, Betty Smith of Ringling, OK; brother, Ricky Smith and wife Janet of Healdton, OK; brother, Tracy Smith and wife Gina of Ringling, OK; grandchildren, Berkeley Smith, Carter Smith, and Kaston Liddell; brother in law, Butch Adams and wife Donna of Wilson, OK; sister in laws, Cathy Pelton and husband Dennis of Wilson, OK; Shellie Gentry and husband Darren of Wilson, OK; Melissia Overby and husband Trevor of Wilson, OK; mother in law Leta Wheeler of Wilson, OK and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Brent began his work career at an early age by tagging along with his dad as he worked on bulldozers. He became knowledgeable in timber clearing, pond building, dirt work, and all aspects of the dozer business. He even worked in Kentucky with his dad strip mining coal one summer. All this before he could legally drive! After graduation from high school, he worked in the oil industry briefly in Wyoming and later at Uniroyal for several years and locally as a pumper for Arco. He finally found his niche as he began Smith Services, his own company which he has operated for the past 37 years. He definitely had a talent for mechanical work and knowledge of equipment. He also loved operating his farm and ranch.

Brent married Debbie in October 1983. He enjoyed working, raising his family, and family vacations. He also loved riding dirt bikes and Harleys. He especially enjoyed trips to Colorado, Wyoming, and South Dakota to ride.

Brent was a generous and caring person. He loved family and for many years hosted holiday meals at his home for family and friends. He also opened his home to several foreign exchange students whom he has kept in touch with over the years. Throughout his journey, Brent had also taught youth bible classes, worked as a sponsor at Falls Creek, and hosted Wednesday evening youth bible studies.

If you knew Brent, you knew he had a unique sense of humor. He could crack a joke without a smile, but he would make you smile. He will be missed.

Pallbearers will be Ricky Smith, Tracy Smith, Daniel Robinson, Clay Smith, Bobby Liddell, and Carter Smith.

Honorary bearer is Kaston Liddell.
