Thurman Dean Jackson

Funeral Services for Mr. Dean Jackson, 61, of Ardmore is scheduled for 2:00 PM Saturday, July 27, 2013 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel of Wilson with Bro. Paul Jackson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery of Ardmore.

Dean was born August 14, 1951 at Burneyville to the late J.M. Jackson and Louise (Shaw) Jackson. He departed this life Wednesday morning July 24, 2013 at his home in Ardmore.

Dean was reared in the Marietta area attending school at Turner. He was employed most of his years working in the Oilfield and as a truck driver. He and the former Ms. Terri Ellis were united in marriage on June 21, 1991 at Springer. Together they drove as team truck drivers for 7 years across the United States for Swift trucking. Most recently, Dean was employed for KOC/ Sanquip as a field superintendent stationed out of Loco. Dean enjoyed riding his Harley, being with his family and fishing. He was a past member of the First Baptist Church of Healdton.

Preceding him in death are his Parents and a nephew Scott Turner.

Survivors include his Wife, Terri Jackson of Ardmore; Sons, Thomas Dean Jackson and wife Debbie of Ardmore and Steve Jackson and wife Michelle of Combine, TX; Daughters, Melissia Jackson of Ardmore, and Shauna Jackson of Lone Grove; Other children, Cory Lee and Kim Lee, both of Ardmore, Jay Lee of Lone Grove and Chance Scott and wife Sherri of New Castle; Sisters, Mary “Sissy” Palmer and husband Vance of Marlow, Ruby Cox and Oleta Jackson, both of Ardmore; Brothers, Wayne Jackson and wife Diane of Marlow, and Gary Jackson of Loco; 23 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren; Numerous other family and friends.

Pallbearers are Cory Lee, Jay Lee, Thomas Jackson, Chance Scott, Tommy Jackson, Anson Lewis, and Kevan Spradling .

Honorary Bearers are Dale Shaw, Vance Palmer, Kris Palmer and co workers of KOC/ Sanquip.

Family visitation will be held from 6-8 pm Friday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
