Thomas Edward Whitener

Thomas "Tom" Edward Whitener, 79 of Pinto departed from this life on Monday, March 14, 2022 in Duncan at the age of 79 years. He was born on February 28, 1943 in Orr, OK to the late Mr. Perry Nathaniel Whitener and Mrs. Ovella Claire (Phillips) Whitener. Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Ringling.

Tom was raised in Orr, OK. He married Patsy Airington on June 6, 1974 and he had primarily worked in the oilfield as a truck driver. Tom loved to fish and hunt and he adored his daughter, Johnna and his step grandson, Jeremy.

Preceding him in death were his parents; 3 brothers, Corbin, Gary and David Whitener; sister, Edna and a step son, Darrell Altom.

Tom is survived by his wife, Patsy of the home; daughter, Johnna Harper and husband Bobby of Ardmore; brother, Alvin Whitener of Orr; sisters, Virginia Tucker of Orr and Shirley Perry and husband Roy of Ardmore; step grandson, Jeremy Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other family and friends.

The family will receive friends at Dee Richardson house at 602 5th St, Wilson, OK on Sunday, March 20th at 4:00 P.M.
