Thelma "Joyce" Bright

Velma - Graveside services for Mrs. Thelma "Joyce" (Strickland) Bright, 82 are scheduled for 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at New Velma Cemetery with family officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Velma.

Joyce was born February 9, 1936 in Velma to the late Mr. Guy Strickland and Mrs. Eva Mae (Couey) Strickland. She departed from this life on Saturday, November 17, 2018 in Bethany, OK.

Joyce grew up in Velma attending school there. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, ceramics, crocheting and RFD TV.

Preceding her in death are her parents; and a brother, Don Strickland.

Joyce is survived by her children, Sharon Cutler, Brenda Taylor and Ron Bright all of Yukon; brothers, Jerry Strickland and Billy Strickland both of Velma; sisters, Shirley Breen of Spokan, WA, Barbara Tadlock of Velma and Pat Jenkins of Lone Grove; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
