Teddy Jo Herell

Graveside services for Teddy Jo Herell, 82, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 10, 2008, at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson with nephew Jimmy Clark and Donald Ray Haynes officiating. The U.S. Navy Military Honors will also be present under the direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.



Born Feb. 19, 1926 in Wirt, to John Sylvester and Alice Letha Farriss Herell, he passed away Friday, June 6, 2008, at the Ardmore Veterans Center in Ardmore. He was preceded in death by his parents.



He was raised in Illinois, and graduated from school there. He was inducted into the U.S. Navy Jan. 29, 1944, and was honorably discharged June 1, 1946. He then attended the Missouri School of Mines for two years before starting his career in the oil field. He married Ella Jean Horn May 29, 1951, at the First Baptist Church in Wilson. In 1989, the couple moved back to Wilson to enjoy their retirement together.



Survivors include his wife of the home; daughters, Brenda Reinders and husband Melvin, Spokane, Wash., and Crisella Jo Badillo and husband Carlos of Bryan, Texas; a son, Wesley Andrew Herell and wife Judy of Tomball, Texas; sisters, Sue Drennan and husband Glen of Moore, and Patsy Horn of Wilson; a brother, Bob Herell and wife Ginny of Midland, Texas; 15 grandchildren; six great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
