Susie Smith

Wilson – Memorial services for Mrs. Susie Smith, 66, of Wilson, is scheduled for 11:00 am Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Wilson with Gary Labeth and Rev. Jason Williams officiating. Inurnment of her ashes will be held privately at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson following Church services. Memorial services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Susie was born February 15, 1948 at Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Harvey Troy Clark and Mrs. Maggie Lee (Fenter) Clark. She departed this life Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at a hospital in Oklahoma City just five days before her 67th birthday.

Susie was raised in Wilson graduating in 1966. She married Mr. Tom Smith on June 17, 1967 at the Wilson First Baptist Church. To this union they were blessed with two children, Craig and Kathy. Susie worked outside the home as an LPN for Dr. Kevin Reed and also for Dr. Hobson Veazey. She retired from the healthcare industry in 1996. Susie always enjoyed her sports and working in the yard. She most recently had been attending the First United Methodist Church of Wilson.

Preceding her in death were her Parents; and brother, Junior Clark.

Survivors include Tom Smith of Wilson; daughter, Kathy Cobb and husband Marcus of Ardmore; son, Craig Smith and wife Jenni of Piedmont; grandchildren, Grant Smith, Parke Smith, Mikayla Cobb and Mason Cobb; special friends, Patti Claxton and Patsy Emerson; numerous other family and friends.

Honorary bearers Gary Claxton, Leon Emerson, Brett Claxton, Kenny Emerson, Joe McDonald, Jason Roberts, Kevin Garrett, Tony Wharton, Bart Daniels, Darin Farrell and Brent Morse.
