Orr – Private Services Mrs. Shirley Faye (Thompson) Redmon, 75, are scheduled with son in law, Larry Terry officiating. Interment will follow at Crow Cemetery south of Orr.
Shirley was born April 25, 1944 at Pruitt City to the late Mr. Andrew Jackson Thompson and Mrs. Alta E. (Wells) Thompson. She departed this life on Monday March 16, 2020 at the Healdton Hospital.
Shirley was raised in this area, primarily attending school at Rexroat. She married Mr. Corby Ray “Bill” Redmon on Dec. 25, 1959 at Marietta. They resided briefly at Hollis and then returned to Love County, residing at Rubottom and then Orr the rest of their lives.
Shirley was employed at the Marietta and Ringling Pants factories, and also cleaned several houses. All through her years, she was a dutiful homemaker and housewife. She also worked as an election board secretary for many years and loved to read and garden. Shirley loved and worshipped her grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with her family. She was saved and baptized at the Graham Assembly of God Church as a young woman.
Preceding her in death are her Parents; brothers, Elzie, Ray, Charles, Billy, and Bobby; sisters, Oma, Alene, Virginia, and Pat; and a great grandson Brison Terry.
Survivors include her husband of the home, Mr. Corby Ray “Bill” Redmon of the home; sons, Terry Redmon, and wife Edith and Matthew Redmon and wife Tara , all of Orr; daughters, Susie Thomas and husband Tony of Orr and Teretha Terry and husband Larry of Healdton; sisters, JoAnn Max of Tennessee, and Irene Lansford and husband Lester of Lawton; brother, Wayne Thompson of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Jared Terry, Connie Smith and husband Jeff, Rebecca Heffner and husband Adam, Josh Terry and wife Leonna, Jennifer Waid and husband Gerrad, Ethan Terry and wife Laci, Brandi Redmon, Keely Baker and husband Brandon, Kevin Thomas, and Elizabeth, Harlie and Abby Redmon; 24 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends.
Casket Bearers are Gerrard Waid, Jared Terry, Josh Terry, Ethan Terry, Jeff Smith and Brandon Baker.
Honorary Bearers will be the remaining grandchildren.
