Sherley Ann Loftin

December 20, 1943 — January 28, 2016

Ratliff City - Funeral Services for Mrs. Shirley Ann (Jump) Loftin, 72 will be held 2 pm, Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Ratliff City with the Rev. Monk Firestone officiating. Interment will follow to Alma Cemetery. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home.


Sherley was born on Dec. 20, 1943 at Duncan to the late Mr. George Jefferson Jump and Mrs. Jewel Katherine (King) Jump. She departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2015 at a nursing home in Marlow.


Sherley was raised at Woodland near Hennepin residing on a dairy farm, attending school at Woodland. She played basketball where her team won state in her sophomore year. She married Richard Minnick during her high school years and to this union, she was blessed with 2 children, Tammy and Rick. Later she married Windel Dean Loftin on January 10, 1968 at Electra, TX. They resided in Countyline and were blessed with 2 other children, Christy and Kelly. Sherley helped outside the home at their stores and cafe's but always was a devout wife and homemaker. She loved to sew, making cakes, and always enjoyed going to town. Sherley also enjoyed vacationing, dancing and traveling.


Preceding her in death was her Parents; husband Windel October 22, 2013; and her daughter Tammy Payne in 2009.


She is survived by her daughter, Christy Lockwood and husband Jerry of Velma, sons Rick Minnick and wife Julie of Medford and Kelly Loftin and wife Jennifer of Countyline; grandchildren Jerry "Sonny" Jr, Christopher, Shyda, Zachary, Coty, Richie, Casey and Remington. great grandchildren Lanie, Brant and Ariana. She is also survived by numerous other family and friends.


Serving as casket bearers will be Jerry Lockwood, Sonny Lockwood, Christopher Lockwood, Kelly Loftin, Zack Loftin and Gary Lockwood.


Honorary bearers will be Bennie Pedigo, Justin Pedigo and Rick Gunsolus.


Family visitation will be 6-8 pm Monday, February 1, 2016 at the funeral home in Ratliff City. Condolences may be made to www.alexanderfuneralhome.org.
