Lone Grove- Graveside Services for Mrs. Ruth Ellen (McCormick) Watts, 71 , of Lone Grove are scheduled for 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the Newport Cemetery in Lone Grove, Oklahoma with Dr. Alton Fannin Officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Ruth Ellen (McCormick) Watts was born March 29, 1943 at Valejo, California to Mr. William Calvin McCormick and Mrs. Esperanza Hope (Moreno) McCormick. She passed from this life on her birthday Saturday, March 29, 2014 at Wilson, Oklahoma .

Ellen was raised in California graduating from Huntington Park, CA. She attended college studying Art. Ellen was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her children. She was always a great cook. Ellen liked to needle point and was excellent at knitting. She was an avid reader and her favorite author was Danielle Steele. Ellen loved doing jigsaw puzzles and playing board games. She loved attending the First Baptist Church of Ardmore.

Ellen is preceded in death by her Parents, William and Hope McCormick and her Brother, Thomas McCormick who preceded her on August 7, 2008.

She is survived by her Sons, David Gardner and wife Vonda of Lone Grove , Steven Mayhue and wife Carla of Ft. Worth, TX.; Sister, Deena Cope and husband Russell of Garden Grove, CA.; 8 Grandchildren, Curtis, Jason, Tony, Jacob, Mark and Eric Gardner and Lance and Seth Mayhue; Many loving Great Grandchildren; Special Nieces Tina Levang and Lisa Couture; Numerous other Nieces and Nephews, family and Friends.

Casket Bearers are Mark Gardner, Jacob Gardner, Curtis Gardner, Steven Mayhue, Eric Gardner and Dustin McCormick.

Honorary Bearers are Anthony Gardner, Nick Levang, Jason Gardner and Greg Couture.

Family visitation will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM Wednesday prior to service at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
