Graham – Funeral Services for Mrs. Ruby "Sue" Viola (Ratliff) Watkins, 71, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Friday, June 16, 2017 at Milo Baptist Church with Rev. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Graham Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
Sue was born on October 14, 1945 in Ratliff City to the late Mr. James William “Joe” Ratliff and Mrs. Hazel Ernestine Fogle. She departed from this life on Tuesday, June 13, 2017 in Ardmore, after a long illness. Sue was raised in the Ratliff City area along with one sister and one brother. On March 30, 1961, Sue met and married John Thomas Watkins of Graham, he preceded her in death in January 29, 2012 after 51 years of marriage.
She retired from Michelin after 20 years of employment. She enjoyed her life with her family going to Lake Texoma camping and fishing. Sue made friends easily and could make you smile even on your worst day. She was a very happy person who enjoyed life to the fullest. Sue lived her life her way. She attended church at the Healdton Freewill Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Joe Ratliff and Hazel Martin; husband, John T. Watkins; a daughter, Susie Watkins; and a brother James Earnest Ratliff.
She is survived by two daughters, Tammie Armstrong and husband Steve of Kingston and Kim Mumford and husband Bob of Graham; four grandchildren, Amber Simon-Osuna of Graham, Chassi Davis and husband Ian of Ardmore, Alisha Farr of Graham, Levi Armstrong and wife Britnee of Ratliff City; seven great-grandchildren, Suzie, Connor, Emily, Caden, Colton, Hayden and Landon; a sister, Jo Ann Hicks of Del City; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Casket bearers will be Danny Anderson, Jr., Terry Turner, Chase Turner, Jeff Miller, Daniel Miller and Wayne “Bull” Watkins.
Honorary bearers will be Roy Stubblefield, Tommy Stubblefield, Gary Stubblefield, Tommy Savage, Billy Savage, John Watkins, Ron Harmon and Tim Miller.
Family visitation will be from 6-8 P.M. Thursday evening at Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
