Roy Wilford Beck

Wilson – Memorial Services for Mr. Roy Wilford Beck, 66, of Durant is scheduled for Saturday December 10, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Hartford Hodges officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory.

Roy was born November 20, 1945 at Wilson, OK to Mr. Sterling Clendenton “S.C.” Beck and Mrs. Winnie Marie (Claxton) Beck. He departed this life December 6, 2011 at his home in Durant.

Roy was raised in Wilson graduating High School from there in 1964. He worked all of his his working years as a truck driver. His CB handle was 6 pack and he loved driving freightliner trucks. He retired at the age of 65 and always enjoyed fishing and spending valuable time with his grandchildren. Roy was a 32nd degree Mason and was of the Baptist Faith.

Preceding him in death are his parents, Brother, James Beck and Sister Betty Rich.

Survivors include Sons, Roy Craig Beck and wife Teresa R. of Kingston, and Gregory W. Beck and wife Teresa A. of Durant; Special Friend, Mary Beck of Kingston; Grandchildren, Tyler, Payden, Michael, Ashely, Justin and Jordan and two great grandchildren. Numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Honorary Bearers are Jody Rich, Terrell D. Tucker, Richard “Cooney” Young, and Marion Ward.

Family visitation will be from 6-8 pm Friday evening at the residence of Jody Rich/ 733 Persimmon St. Wilson, OK 73463.
