Healdton – Funeral Services for Mrs. Rosalee (Copeland) Loveless, 89, are scheduled for 10:00 AM Monday, March 14, 2011 at the East Lincoln Street Church of Christ in Healdton with Gary Cannon officiating. Interment will follow at Bomar Point Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.
Rosa was born on January 22, 1922 at Wheeler, OK to the late Mr. Alexander Copeland and Mrs. Sefrona Catherine (Morse) Copeland. She departed this life Wednesday March 9, 2011 at Wilson.
Rosa was an active member of the Church of Christ in Healdton and loved her church family. She met Don Loveless following WWII. They were married on November 3, 1945 at Wilson. They had celebrated 64 years of marriage before Don’s death June 13, 2010. Rosa was an excellent homemaker caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. Her home was always open to anyone who needed a place to stay. She loved being outside and spent many hours in her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed cooking for the family, canning, sewing, camping, fishing and doing her “word puzzles”.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Sefrona Copeland, her husband, Don Loveless, three sisters, Cora Copeland, Dessie Copeland, and Mae Caldwell; and two brothers, Jessie Copeland and Elmer Copeland .
Rosa is survived by a sister, Lillie Gafford of Wilson; a brother, Leonard Copeland of Denison, TX; two daughters, Patricia Curtis and husband Bill of Moore, and Donna Renfro and husband Bill of Ringling; four grandchildren, Melissa Bonds and husband David of Broken Arrow; Scott Renfro and wife Amy of Ringling; Jennifer Smith and husband Jason of Fort Worth; and Susan Lyle and husband Brandon of Ringling; and nine great grandchildren, Hanna Hall and Isabella Renfro of Ringling; Camden, Ethan, Seth, Derek and Isaac Smith of Ft. Worth, TX; and Braden and Chloe Lyle of Ringling.
Pallbearers are Raymond Bray, Skeet Chapman, John Clinesmith, David Cormany, Meryl Hodges, Roger Wilson, Carey Powell and Dale Powell.
Honorary bearers are the members of the East Lincoln Street Church of Christ.
Family visitation will be held from 6-8pm Sunday evening, March 13th at Alexander’s Funeral Home in Wilson.
