Rosa Mary (Jones) Bray

OVERBROOK –Graveside Inurnment Services for Rosa Mary (Jones) Bray, 74, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Young Cemetery in Gene Autry. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home and Crematory of Wilson, Oklahoma.

Rosa was born May 21, 1943 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Clemuel Claud Jones and Mrs. Lottie Mae (Cullins) Jones. She departed from this life December 16, 2017at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Oklahoma.

Rosa grew up in the Lone Grove area and had spent most of her life in this area other than ten years in Ft. Worth. She liked to play cards and Nintendo with her grandson Adon and son Jesse. Rosa enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. She always looked forward to the yearly family reunions. Mrs. Bray had various jobs throughout her lifetime but some of her favorites were working at her daughter’s restaurant and managing apartment complexes. She was a former member of the Blue Ribbon Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Bray is preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Rosa Lee Bray; a brother Clifford Jones; sisters, Maurine Tanner and Maguritte Merritt.

Survivors include her son, Jesse Bray of Overbrook; daughters, Judy Payne and husband Lynn of Lone Grove, Sherry Ivins of Lufkin, TX, Cindy Pickens and husband Ted of Overbrook, Melinda Kemp and husband Phillip of Muldrow, OK; special daughter, Holly Tynes and husband Chance of Burneyville; brothers, Clem Jones of Lone Grove, Charles Jones, David Jones and wife Alma of Lone Grove; sisters, Claudie Adkins of Andrews, TX, Dorothy Atchley of Virginia, Marcella Bray and husband C.W. of Lone Grove, Maxine Bahm and husband Bob of Kaw City;15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, mnay nieces, nephews, other relatives and host of friends. She raised many other children in her home and treated them all like her own family.

Serving as Honoarary PallBearers are Danny Bray, Steven Bray, Lynn Payne, Ted Pickens, Anthony Williams, Chris Bray, Phillip Kemp, and Ricky Tanner.
