Lone Grove - Mr. Rondel Gene Snow departed this life on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the Oklahoma Veterans Center in Sulphur at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 27 days. Graveside services are scheduled for 10AM Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Newport Cemetery near Lone Grove with his nephew John Snow officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.
Mr. Snow was born on December 20, 1944 in Lone Grove to the late Mr. Jim Snow and Mrs. Ollie (Green) Snow.
Gene was a lifelong resident of Lone Grove. He attended Lone Grove Public Schools and graduated with the class of 1963. After graduating Mr. Snow joined the United States Army and proudly served his country. He then attended Okmulgee Tech and graduated in 1966 as a Certified Diesel Mechanic. He also worked as a long distance mail carrier for seven years out of the Ardmore Post office. Gene was known to always be trading and selling things. He loved hunting, fishing, and had traveled to Montana and bear hunted alone. He was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle Church of Jesus Christ in Ringling.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Thelma Carnathan.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Snow and his wife Anna of Lone Grove; Nieces, Hannah Benson and husband Mike of Lone Grove, Elizabeth Snow of Pottsboro; nephews, Aaron Snow and wife Mary of Lone Grove, and John Snow of Lone Grove. Many other relatives and a host of friends.
