Roger Dale Tupin

Healdton - Funeral Services for Mr. Roger Dale Tupin, 70, are scheduled for 2:00 P.M., Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the Shell Street Church of Christ of Healdton with Danny Huntsman officiating. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Healdton. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Roger was born on August 24, 1946 at Wilson to the late Mr. Eugene Tupin and Mrs. Viola Agnes (Thompson) Tupin. He departed from this life on Sunday July 2, 2017 in Ardmore.

Roger was mainly raised in Wilson attending school at Wilson and Healdton. He joined the United States Navy on October 10, 1963 and he served honorably during the Vietnam War as a 3rd Class Engineman. He received his honorable discharge on October 9, 1969. Roger married the former Ms. Donna Jean Wright on February 17, 1968 at the Shell Street Church of Christ in Healdton. They shared 50 wonderful years of good memories together. Roger worked in the Oilfield and as a truck driver most all of his working years. Most recently he was employed for Brady's Oilfield Services of Healdton as a truck driver, working there for the past 12 years. Roger loved to go hunting and fishing and cherished moments with his grandchildren. He loved watching war movies and westerns and was a lifelong member of the Shell Street Church of Christ.

Preceding him in death is his parents, Eugene and Viola; brothers, Bill, Gerald and Joseph Tupin; sister, Zelda Graham; sister in law, Carol Tupin; and brother in law, Butch White.

Roger is survived by his loving wife Donna Jean of the home; daughters, Shelly Hagle and husband Jeff of Healdton and Michelle Powell and husband Pat of Wilson; son, Tony Tupin of Lone Grove; grandchildren, Shelbi Hagle, Garret Hagle and fiance Nicci, Sadi Hagle, Dillon Powell, Patrick Powell and Hunter Tupin; 4 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren; sisters, Diana Petit of Shawnee and Genia Manion of Yukon; sisters in law, Marianne Tupin of Lawton, Pauline Charles of Healdton, Patty Kallicott of Arlington, WA and Carolyn Tupin of Healdton; and numerous other nieces and nephews and other family.

Casket bearers will be Tony Tupin, Garret Hagle, Dillon Powell, Patrick Powell, Hunter Tupin, Pat Powell, Jeff Hagle, Shelbi Hagle and Sadi Hagle.

A family visitation is scheduled for 6-8 PM Wednesday evening at Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.
