Memorial Services for Mr. Rodney "Kurt" Hancock, 56 of Healdton are scheduled for 5:00 P.M., Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Bill Cantrell officiating.
Kurt was born November 12, 1960 in Fort Worth, TX to Mr. John Leonard Hancock, Sr. and Mrs. Claudia Fay (Fletcher) Sanford. He passed from this life on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at his home in Healdton.
Kurt was raised in Fort Worth and Arlington graduating from Purnell High School. He first worked within Masonry and most recently had driven trucks for Brady's and Davis Directional Drilling of Healdton. Kurt was a very talented musician, even building his own guitar. He loved fishing and riding his motorcycle. Kurt had attended church at East Lincoln Church of Christ.
He is preceded in death by his father; step father, B.F. "Red" Sanford and niece, Alicia Adams.
Kurt is survived by his best friend and the love of his life, Shirley Hancock of Healdton; mother, Claudia Sanford of Willis, OK; sisters, Ann Cantrell and husband Bill of Willis, OK and Anita Caplinger and husband Kevin of Whitesboro, TX; brothers, Johnny Hancock of Enterprise, AL, Tommy Hancock of Aransas Pass, TX, James Hancock of Kingston, and Willie Hodge and wife Shannon of Tolar, TX; stepson, Cody Fowler and wife Chelsea and their three children of Healdton and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
