Roberta Jane (Jones) Tindall- Obituary

Ringling – Funeral Services for Mrs. Roberta Jane Tindall, 76 are scheduled for 2:00pm Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 at the Alexander Funeral Chapel of Ringling with David Hale officiating. Interment will follow at the Ringling Memorial Cemetery.

Roberta (Berta) Jane Tindall was born on August 5, 1939 to Roy and Kate Jones in the town of Healdton, Oklahoma. The Lord called her home on Sunday morning November 8, 2015 at the Stilwell Nursing Center in Stilwell, Oklahoma.

Berta Graduated from Ringling Oklahoma High School in the class of 1957. The class motto that year was “American Ends With I Can” and Berta was the endowment of that motto as she always had a positive can do attitude.

Berta married Joe Tindall on March 15, 1958. To this union two girls were born, Kathy and Debby. Berta and Joe divorced and Berta moved to Oklahoma City and teamed up with her mother Kate to raise Kathy and Debby. Berta looked after her mother Kate until her death in 1999.

Berta went back to business school and got a degree in bookkeeping, this degree served her well and she went on to a successful career working for three companies Holland Energy, Beacon Trucking, and Sooner Fast Freight. She was the office manager at Sooner Fast Freight for many years.

Berta enjoyed reading, ceramics, crossword puzzles, movies, eating at her favorite restaurants, and of course her cats. Her passion was her famly, watching them grow and flourish.

Berta is survived by her two daughters, Kathy Weber and her husband Tom of North Ogden Utah; Debby Starr and her husband Tony of Cookson Oklahoma; Sister Liz Slawson and husband Melburn of Rush Springs Oklahoma; 5 Grandchildren Deadra Starr, Jaime Wimer, Ryan Starr, Andy Martin, Garrett Martin and 6 Great Grand Children.

Berta is preceded in death by her parents Roy and Kate Jones, and Sister Wilda Jo.

Casket Bearers are Jaime Wimer, Tom Weber, Garrett Martin, Ryan Starr, Brian Wimer, and Jerry Slawson.

Honorary Bearers will be Tony Starr, Melburn Slawson, and Joe Slawson.

Family Visitation will be held from 12 noon to service time prior to service.
