Ratliff City- Graveside Services for Mr. Robert Wayne Dulworth, 69, Lease Operator are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, May 15, 2014 at Alma Cemetery in Alma, Oklahoma with Rev. Monk Firestone officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City, Oklahoma.
Robert was born January 8, 1945 at Duncan, Oklahoma to Mr. Robert Mitchell Dulworth and Mrs. Ila Mae (Long) Dulworth. He passed from this life Saturday, May 10, 2014 at Countyline, Oklahoma.
Robert was raised west of Velma and attended school at Velma graduating in 1963. He then attended college at Oklahoma State University where he majored in agricultural science. Robert joined the U.S. Army on June 13, 1967 at Oklahoma City, OK. and served during the Vietnam War as Track Mechanic. He received an honorable discharge on January 15, 1970. Robert married Leona Maxwell November 28, 1979 at Wichita Falls, TX. They made their home where they presently lived near Velma. Robert worked mainly as a lease operator presently pumping wells for Citation. He was a good family man and a hard worker. Robert liked gardening and always enjoyed being outside.
Preceding him in death are his Parents, Robert and Ila Dulworth and Brother, Donald Dulworth.
Robert is survived by his Wife, Leona “Loni” Dulworth of the home; Daughter, Tricia Courtright and husband Jason of Velma, OK.; Son, Michael Dulworth of the home; Two Grandchildren, Roman Woodall and Blaine Courtright; Siblings, Linda Thacker and husband, Terry of Velma, OK., Dan Dulworth and wife Janis of Duncan,OK., Ronnie Dulworth and wife Betty of Velma, OK., Pat Holcomb and husband Jim of Comanche, OK. and Wanda Luark and husband Paul of Velma, OK.; Goddaughter, Ashley Bumpass of Duncan, OK.; Special Friends. Warren Davenport and Danny Ray. Numerous other Family and Friends.
Pallbearers are Ronald Dulworth, Steve Airington, Bobby Dulworth, Donnie Dulworth, Kenny Whitener and Nathan Schafer.
Honorary Bearers are Roman Woodall , Blaine Courtright, David Fowler, Jason Courtright, Stanley Shafer and Kyle Dulworth.
Visitation will be Wednesday Evening from 5-7 P.M. at the Alexander Funeral Home of Ratliff City, Oklahoma
