Robert Damon Burleson

Rubottom - Mr. Robert "Damon" Burleson, 51 of Rubottom departed from this life on Monday, December 11, 2023 at his home in Rubottom.  He was born on November 17, 1972 in Fort Worth, TX to Mr. Robert Lee Burleson and Mrs. Iwona Catherine (Ball) Byrd.  Cremation services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home in Wilson.  

Damon was raised in the Fort Worth, TX area all his life moving to Oklahoma in 1994 to be closer to his mother.  He worked as a mason all his life starting out with his dad and had a great love for designing things with his own hands.  His favorite part of the job was being able to travel.  Damon really enjoyed fishing, thrill seeking everything from skydiving to amusement parks, scuba diving and was always living on the edge. 

Preceding him in death was his dad, Don Byrd and grandmother, Margie Toombs. 

Damon is survived by his mother, Iwona Byrd; sisters, Brandy Sarno, Payton Ball, Seana McKinney, Kennedie Thompson, Amy Hughitt, and Leann Byrd; brothers, Brandon Burleson and Thomas Burleson; grandfather, Douglas Toombs; many nieces and nephews and by a host of other family and friends.
