Robert "Bobby" Don Ellis

Springer - Services for Robert “Bobby” Don Ellis Jr. are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Thursday, December 21, 2017 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson, Oklahoma with Bro. Mike Johnston officiating. Interment will follow at Dixie Cemetery in Dixie, Oklahoma. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson, Oklahoma.

Bobby was born Feb 2, 1961 to Mr. Robert Don Ellis and the late Mrs. Minnie Marcella (Mayes) Ellis in Ft. Worth, TX. He passed from this life December 16, 2017 at his residence in Springer, Oklahoma.

Mr. Ellis was raised primarily in the Fox area. He graduated from Fox High School with the class of 1980. He joined the Oklahoma National Guard and served four years active duty and then served several years reserve duty. He enjoyed playing the lottery always waiting for the big win. He loved to watch TV, especially old westerns. Bobby spent most of his time catching catfish on Lake Texoma. His biggest love of all was family get togethers. Bobby was a former member of the Odd Fellows lodge in Healdton. He had worked for Southerland Well Service out of Ratliff City then went to work for Dollar General Distribution Center and was most recently working for East Jordan Iron Works in Gene Autry,

Bobby is preceded in death by his mother, Marcella (Mayes) Ellis on November 8, 2015; maternal grandparents, Leon and Bertie Mae Mayes; paternal grandparents, Clyde and Lois Ellis; step grandfather, W.C. Pete Murphy.

Survivors include his father, Robert Don Ellis of Mead; sister, Donna Warren and her husband Teddy of Fox; brother, Phillip Ellis and his wife Missy of Healdton; two nephews, Robert P. Ellis and his wife Kayln of Sulphur and Brandon Ellis and his wife Jessica of Healdton; three nieces, Kristi Newell and her husband Sean of Ratliff City, Nikki Warren of Fox, and Ashley Barrientez and her husband Bobby of Fletcher; five great nieces and nine great nephews; A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and many other friends.

Serving as Pallbearers are Robert P. Ellis, Rennon Burnell, Phillip Ellis, Brandon Ellis, Marvin Ellis and Dennis Adams.

Honorary Bearers are Teddy Warren, Nickey Ellis, Larry Ellis, and Marty Ellis.

Visitation will be at the Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 6-8 P.M.
