Wilson – Funeral Services for Mrs. Robbie Marie (Baker) Shores, 81, of Wilson are scheduled for 2:00 pm Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Rev. Bruce Almy officiating. Interment will follow at Hewitt Cemetery in Wilson. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home of Wilson.

Robbie was born February 28, 1930 at Gracemont, OK to the late Mr. John Robert Baker and Mrs. Lillian Pearl (Henderson) Baker. She departed this life Sunday morning , April 3, 2011 at her home in Wilson.

Robbie was raised in Wilson attending school here and graduating from Wilson High School in 1948. She married Mr. Jack Edward Shores July 22, 1949 at Gainesville, TX. They made their home in Wilson and have resided here all of their lives together. Robbie was a devoted homemaker who cared for her husband and children tremendously. She loved to play bingo and to go fishing.

Preceding her in death is her Parents and two sisters, Ruth Baker, and Wyama Tolbert.

Survivors include her loving husband Mr. Jack Shores of the home; Daughters, Sherry Schler and husband Tony of Marshall, OK; Son, Jack Shores, Jr. and wife Debbie of Kailua Kona, HI; Two Sisters, Carolyn Crabb and husband Jack of Grand Prairie, TX, and Norma Hamilton of Ruidoso, NM; Brother, Gary Baker and wife Cindy of El Paso, TX; 7 Grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews and other family and friends.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Schler, Joshua Schler, Sean Shores, Nick Cook, Adam Varvil, Michael Shores, and Tyler Shores.

Honorary Bearers will be Tommy Goodson, Rex Shores, Gary Whitener, Charlie Dutton, David Shores, Mike Thompson, Wayne Kennedy, and Shannon Shores.
