Wilson – Services for Mr. Rickey Wayne Hacker, 61, of Lone Grove are scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2022 at the Alexander Gray Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Cousin Les Hacker officiating and Darryl Howard assisting. Interment will follow at Newport Cemetery north of Lone Grove.
Rickey was born Feb. 24, 1961 at Ardmore to Mr. Billy Bob Hacker and Mrs. Carrie B. (Holmes) Hacker. He departed this life on Friday, Sept. 30, 2022 at a healthcare facility in Sherman, TX.
Rickey was raised near Texaco Bottom, attending school at Lone Grove. He began working for Schrader Electric at the age of 14 and graduated high school from Lone Grove in 1979. Rickey married his high school sweetheart Ms. Patti Adams, and they were united in marriage on August 1, 1980 at the Lone Grove Assembly of God Church. Rickey received a 4-year Parsons academic scholarship at Southeastern in Durant where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Electronics. Rickey moved to McKinney, TX, where he worked for a Bank for a short while. He moved back to this area and worked with his uncle J.L. for a moment before gaining employment at Uniroyal. Rickey worked as a Michelin employee principally within the Stock Prep section for over 30 years, leaving there because of his health declining. Patti preceded him in death on June 6, 2018. Rickey was a talented craftsman doing a lot of woodwork in his younger years and appreciated running cattle.
Over the years, he and Patti fostered several children to whom he showed kindness and love like they were their own. Above all, his family and grandchildren were the light of his life.
In addition to his wife Patti, also preceding him is his father, Billy Bob Hacker and an infant sister, Sherrie Diane Hacker.
Survivors include his sons, Adam Hacker, Andy Hacker and wife Valerie, both of Lone Grove and Scotty Hacker of Ardmore; mother, Carrie Hacker of Wilson; sister, Tammy Perry and fiancé Sheldon Sharber of Pauls Valley; brothers, Greg Hacker and Steven Hacker and girlfriend Tammy Bigham, both of Wilson; grandchildren, Wyatt, Quinn and Audra Hacker and Emmalynn and Annalise Hacker; numerous other family and friends.
Casket bearers are Chris Hacker, Matt Hacker, Wesley Hacker, Mike Hacker, Jeff Hacker and Wyatt Hacker.
Family visitation will be held on Monday evening from 6 to 8pm at Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.
