Richard Lee Walker

Healdton - Graveside Services for Mr. Richard Lee Walker, 84 of Antlers, are scheduled for 10:00 A.M., Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at Mount Olive Cemetery of Healdton with Jose Vigil officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Healdton.

Richard was born July 27, 1936 at Broadwater, NE to the late Mr. Chelcy LeRoy Walker and Mrs. Edith Audrey (Mitchell) Walker. He departed from this life on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at the Choctaw Nursing Home in Antlers, OK after a lengthy illness.

He graduated in 1954 from Morton High School in Morton, WY. He married the former Mrs. Edna Swett on April 1, 1956 and they were blessed with 3 daughters. Later, he married Evelyn "June" (Raglin) Walker on May 9, 1991. They would have celebrated their 30th anniversary in a couple of weeks.

Richard was raised on a dairy farm in Wyoming. He worked for Morton Salt in Mexico drilling for salt. He was a pilot, worked on drilling rigs in Wyoming, Montana, Alaska, Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, North Dakota and Utah. He also did Seismograph work and was a truck driver.

Richard enjoyed fishing and hunting with his dad. He and June enjoyed traveling and cruising together and with her family to many fantastic places. He taught jewelry classes in Quartzsite, AZ where (they spent the winters) and he was a member of the Quartzsite Gem and Mineral Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Eva Richardson and grandson Clinton Wright.

Richard is survived by his wife, June of the home; daughters, Dixie Walker McMechan of Casper, WY, Doris Walker Vigil and husband Jose of Derby, KS, Donna Walker Woodruff and husband Lawrence of Edmonton, Canada, and Barbara Raglin Fore and husband Billy Zack of Healdton, OK; son, Robert Raglin and wife Kaye of Dayton, OH; 18 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; and 3 great great grandchildren; brother, Ervin Walker of Riverton, WY; several nieces, nephews and many friends.
