Richard Lee Miller

Mr. Richard Lee Miller, age 56, of Lone Grove departed this life on Friday, October 19, 2018 at his residence. Memorial services will be 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at the Alexander Funeral Home Chapel in Wilson with Pastor Jerry Gonzalez officiating. Services are under the direction and care of Alexander Funeral Home in Wilson.

Mr. Miller was born on August 30, 1962 in Ardmore, OK to the late Mr. Lee Richard Miller and Mrs. Margaret Jelene (Newman) Miller.

Richard grew up in Healdton and attended school there, graduating with the Class of 1981. Mr. Miller graduated from high school in May and went to work for Michelin in October of 1981. He worked there for the next 30 years in the maintenance/electrical department. Richard enjoyed music, going to concerts, traveling, and always enjoyed be able to teach people. He and Angela Abshire were married on September 17, 1983 in Healdton. They made their home in Lone Grove where they would raise their three daughters.

Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents and mother in law; Marjorie Abshire.

Richard is survived by his wife, Angela (Abshire) Miller of the home; daughters, Nicole Miller and fiancé Donald Gatlin of Oklahoma City, OK, Natalie Garrison and husband Dillon of Lone Grove, and Sarah Miller-Larson and husband Edward of Edmond; sister, Cheryl Mitchell and husband Jerry of Ringling; father in law, Coy Abshire of Ringling; Many other relatives and a host of friends.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to a Food Bank of choice.
